The AC Hotel is probably the best wedding venue in Greenville SC. The view from the rooftop pavilion overlooks the entire downtown architecture of Greenville. It's our go-to referral for all of our local brides who want something elegant, modern, and full of city vibes. This wedding gave us all of the best feelings and I'm so excited to share it with you all. Keep reading, or just scroll down to see more wedding photos from this gorgeous day!

The Best Wedding Venue in Greenville SC

Casey and Robert's AC Hotel Greenville Wedding was an exceptionally special wedding for us. Honestly, I can't describe my love for this venue in just a few sentences. It deserved its own special blog post, which is why we wrote this one. Click here to read it! So for this one, I'm just going to talk about Casey and Robert's wedding details and why I absolutely died and went to wedding photographer heaven!

These two were probably the epitome of my ideal wedding client. Their vision was simple: they wanted a simple, classic wedding that included a First Look. Perfect. Just perfect. Another thing that we personally really loved was their decision to ditch a large bridal party and keep the focus on just the two of them. There were just one or two close friends with them for their getting-ready photos and no bridesmaids or groomsmen in the actual wedding party.

They shared a First Look rooftop, just the two of them and us. Afterward, we spent so much time prioritizing photos of them before the ceremony even began. Because of that, they were totally done with couples portraits by the time that cocktail hour came around. We ran through a few quick family photos and got right into the party. However, I did pull them for a couple of photos as the sun set behind the city. And then once more for one or two nighttime photos.

City Wedding Photography

Oh, my love for a rooftop city wedding. My love for a city wedding, period! Y'all know me and my city-loving heart. And Greenville, South Carolina just brings so much to the table. The area offers lots of urban-style wedding venues in and around the city. So there are lots to choose from if that's the vibe you are going for! The city is also packed full of utterly incredible wedding vendors of all kinds. We have so many we can happily recommend to you in the area.

The Rooftop Space

This space is unique for so many reasons. For starters, it's surrounded by a six-foot glass wall that let's natural light flow in while still giving you the ability to see across the city. It's floored with artificial grass which is awesome for brides in heels. And it's also great because you don't have to worry about any grass stains on your wedding dress train. In the past, I've even had my clients lie down on the astroturf for photos!

However, our favorite feature of all is the giant, greenery-covered Buddha head that sits in the corner. We know, it sounds crazy, but it's kind of AMAZING. Such a cool, modern touch to an already awesome venue.

Lastly, the dance floor. Double doors open up to lead to the outside space and connect to the dance floor. It's a great option for warmer weather, and there is plenty of room for a DJ or band, whichever you choose.

Overall, we can't say enough wonderful things about this venue and always look forward to returning for all of our future weddings!
